I was introduced to the game of golf when I was approximately 14 years of age and have played the game for most of my teens and also throughout my university education. I did gain some form of momentum reaching my all time low handicap of 13 but never reached the level of skill that I wanted to achieve which was in the low single digits.
Then life took over after I completed my studies and started working full time leaving almost no time or energy for the game. I subsequently got married and relocated to a different side of the planet, and then returned not too long ago. Watching the 2013 Australian Women’s Golf Open held at Canberra Golf Club reignited the spark within me to pursue golf more intensely and at least allow myself the opportunity to see how good I can become.
The purpose of this website and blog is manifold. Firstly, it is as an online diary of my progress. I intend to devote at least twice a week, while I am working full time (for now), to practicing at the driving range and getting my swing back. Secondly, it is to re-educate myself on the latest and greatest equipment, accessories, balls, apparel etc and help those who need recommendations on what to use and when. Thirdly it is to bring a spiritual aspect to the game and explore the ways both golf and life are linked.
Perhaps you reading this might be inspired to take up the game or to improve and take it to the next level.
