Week 1, session 3

50 balls – pitching wedge, 5 iron, 4 iron

25 minutes golf conditioning exercises

It was only 50 balls today as I had an evening appointment and did not have enough time (partly also because I started late this afternoon as I was having a slow Saturday). I slept at nearly 2 am last night working on my other projects. Regardless, I am pleased that I came out to hit balls as again there was a moment when I was feeling extremely sleepy and lethargic.

To do and work on:

  • Continue with the swing practice: hone in the lesson I had with my coach in May – minimum of 3 times a week, but ideally more so that the progress is accelerated. I am planning to meet my swing coach in about 3 weeks time.
  • Do golf conditioning exercises daily (last week I did it 3 times in the week). My next meet up with my Physio is in mid July. Potentially talk about adding weight training as well.
  • Increase the walking (only walked once last week).
  • Research and look into golf clubs to purchase (my brother has kindly agreed to sponsor a set of new golf clubs for my birthday which I am so thankful for)
  • I have booked my first round of 18 holes on the 3rd Saturday (I think) of July. To buy a pair of shoes and golf bag / cover.
  • To start looking at more professional golf swings and visualising it in my mind.
