The image attached below shows Tiger trying to be ‘square’ at the top of his swing. One of his primary goals is to achieve a square clubface at the top of the backswing, meaning it should be parallel with his left forearm.
Butch Harmon, Tiger’s coach at the time writes that the position you establish here shapes your downswing and determines your clubface position at impact. Try for the square position Tiger refers to. It helps to have a neutral grip.
