Grounding your feet for more distance ~9~

Today’s article is taken from the June 1996 issue of Australian Golf Digest.

A short but effective article in relation to grounding your feet. According to Brian Henninger, who states that he is a small guy, one of the biggest reasons for him being able to hit the ball so far is due to his torque.  What he means by this is his lower body stays quiet in relation to his upper body, in both the back and forward swings.

To assist in feeling the resistance between the upper and lower body, practice hitting balls with both feet on the ground – from address to the end of the follow through. This drill should keep the hips quiet and build torque for longer shots.

Happy golfing and have a great week ahead!
