After some brief research I conducted at the suggestion of one of my esteemed advisers, I couldn’t locate websites targeting the good lady golfer. I came across some websites / blogs for women at the beginner’s level while other websites / blogs were to do with a combination of accessories and equipment.
This blog I would like to make it about physical and mental technique for the female golfer who has a handicap between 9 and 2, or who is aspiring to reach a single digit handicap (myself included).
The lowest handicap I reached was between 12 and 13. To this day, I believe that I can go lower but I have never allowed myself the opportunity to do so.
I used to be a member of a golf club about 4 years ago but when I moved overseas I cancelled my membership. As a result, I currently am not a member of any golf club – perhaps one day I shall submit an application or sign up to be on the waiting list at one of the prestigious clubs. For now, I am content with making my rounds to the state of the art local driving range the name of which will be revealed down the track 🙂
I have never been a technical golfer. I was taught some basic fundamentals and some unique concepts and combining the both by playing and swing practising, I have developed a somewhat ‘natural’ swing – at least that’s how my brother puts it. I am also a big fan of the mental and spiritual side of things and will be exploring this aspect of the game to allow me to improve my overall scoring ability and enjoyment.
In conclusion, those girls / ladies out there who fall into the above category of being between a 2 and 9 handicapper or aspiring to be one, or those of you who know or have sisters / daughters / wives / mothers / grannies who aspire to be within that category, feel free to point them to this blog.
Have a great evening and a wonderful day ahead,
Peace
